Just Talk About...Insurance
Have you ever had questions about your health insurance? For instance, "What's covered?" or "Do I have a copay or co-insurance due?" According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are about 260 million people enrolled in over 300,000 health insurance plans in the U.S. Understanding health insurance coverage can be confusing to the average consumer, even me sometimes.
Hi my name is Lynelle and I have worked in the healthcare industry for almost 20 years. Over the years, I have received many phone calls from angry and upset patients confused about bills and correspondences they received from their healthcare provider or health insurance plan; in regards to denied claims or higher than expected liability. Sometimes the claim can be adjusted by submitting a coordination of benefits update. However, there are times when the benefit is just not covered. Just Talk About ...Insurance is a blog created to share information about health insurance, so that insurance is less confusing.
